I thought I was able to get it working with Vista, but I'm questioning that now, as I only had the OS on my laptop for a few days till I reverted back to XP.

I'm looking to buy and use a tactrix cable with vista. Besides it being vista are there any complications that could arise. This previous post has me wondering...

I am looking for the older version Tactrix Cable for my MY04 WRX. I really don't need to spring for the 2.0 kit.

Anyone selling theirs??? and how much??

Is there not a cheaper alternative to the Tactrix cable?
I'm borrowing a 1.2 version at the moment and it's working fine, less bulky than the 2.0 version. He's going to want it back sooner or later but I can't afford to spend out $169+shipping.

Yeah, it seems as though Tactrix has really increased their prices over the past couple of years. I guess they've realized that they pretty much have the market covered and so can jack up the price as much as they want, or something. What used to cost $79US is now (2009-05-14) costing $169US. That's an increase of 213%!!! I'm looking for another option as well.

How about this one? Won't this work as well?

That's an OBD scan tool you're linking to. apples and oranges to compare that to a Tactrix interface
